State of the University Address 2017
Batten Honors College First Class
From Aspiring College to Inspiring University
In his State of the University Address on August 22 in the Jane P. Batten Student Center, Â鶹´«Ã½rtb President Scott D. Miller announced a new academic division and discussed next phases of campus construction. Miller provided updates on institutional progress and shared several new initiatives and goals for the future. More
First Class of Batten Honors College Welcomed to Campus
A matriculation ceremony was held for the first cohort of the recently established Batten Honors College on August 20 at the new Greer Environmental Sciences Center. The Batten Honors College inspires, engages, and prepares academically talented students to become leaders, environmental stewards, and impactful citizens in the global community. More

Founders Day - September 7

On September 7, the University will celebrate its second Founders Day. Festivities will include the Founders Convocation at 11 a.m. in the Convocation Center inside the Jane P. Batten Student Center. In addition to celebrating the University's founding in 1961, Founders Day 2017 festivities will include the annual Alumni Awards and Reception, the Batten Honors College Dedication luncheon, a Ribbon Cutting and Dinner for the new Greer Environmental Sciences Center, an Ecofestival and more. 

2017 Alumni Award Recipients To Be Honored on Founders Day

Celebrated for their outstanding professional and personal accomplishments, this year's honorees are Doug Wilson '86 - Distinguished Alumnus Award, W. Taylor Franklin '04 - Alumni Service Award, and Sydney Covey '16 - Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) Award. Read more about these exceptional Marlins
