Marlin Wellness

Marlin Wellness is an initiative to intentionally engage students in the eight pillars of wellness (intellectual, social, physical, emotional, spiritual, environmental, occupational, and financial). The goal of this initiative is to foster student autonomy by creating the opportunity to learn how to champion personal health and wellness as well as develop distress tolerance and problem solving skills.

Representatives that participate in the Marlin Wellness Council host student events focused on each pillar of wellness throughout the semester. This council is comprised of representatives from the eight pillars of wellness, Residence Life, Athletics, SGA, and the Student Health student representative.

Members of the Marlin community can find more information about these events through department social media platforms, postings around campus, the Campus Activities calendar, VWU email, and by stopping by the Marlin Wellness TV located next to the Batten Plaza desk.

Attending Marlin Wellness events offers the opportunity to win prizes and entries into event, semester, and year long grand prizes.
